Problem Solving :

We recommend to use RS-485 I/O module AR-403-IO-0404M-E or AR-403-IO-0404M for this application

※ Connect 485 Module to computer via USB converter AR-321-CM and use “Commview” to select working mode “Standard”

1. Select Node ID

2. Click "Read" to read parameter from module

3. Select "Standard" mode

4. Click "Write" to update parameter to module

Operation & Setting :

  1. AR-403-IO-0404M is built-in 4 DI input and each DI can connect to one Emergency button; When the button is pressed, the system can real-time receive the status change and notification for further action.  

  1. The defination of DI programming number on 701Client Scada

          Number DI 0 ~ 511,  Number 511 fixed for Fire input

          Number DO 512~ 1023,  DO0 corresponding Number 512, DO1 corresponding Number 513… and so on

  1. Select Mode name “RS485_IO”for RS-485 I/O Module on 701Server

  1. Create one new graphic picture on 701Client by following the steps :

          Step1 :Create a new graphic picture

          Draw a picture “Restroom Emergency Display.jpg” and save it into the path of C:\Program Files (x86)\701Client

Step2 Click Edit à Graphic contents and enters the setting menu

Click “Browser” to select the picture “Restroom Emergency Display.jpg” we will use

Step3 Follow the next steps to create each DI point for different site

For example , we use the first AR-403-IO-0404M (Node ID 001) connect 4 emergency buttons and the second AR-403-IO-0404M (Node ID 002) connect 4 emergency buttons

The first AR-403-IO-0404 as Controller 001, its DI0~3 use I/O number 0~3

The second AR-403-IO-0404 as Controller 002, its DI0~3 use I/O number 4~7

 

Before edit, we should create Bmp File under the path of C:\Program Files (x86)\701Client\PopGra

We create two Bmp file Emergency 0 and Emergency 1 as two status of DI

  1. Select “Digital IO ” as I/O Type     
  2. Select “DIO State” as Watch setting.
  1. Input ”Emergency” as Bmp File name. 
  2. Input Controller num , we demo Controller 1 and Controller 2
  3. Input IO num , we demo DI0~DI7               
  4. Input “Coordinate” value.
  5. Click “add”
  6. The result will be showed in space column. We can follow the steps to do Controller 1 DI0~3, Controller 2 DI4~7
  7. Click “Exit” after finished all setting.

Step4 After done setting, click “Exit” to leave the menu, we will see 8 Emergency icon on the picture

We can drag each icon to the different location

Step5 “file” --> “Save as” to save the setting as one new picture with the name “Restroom Emergency Display” under the path of C:\Program Files (x86)\701Client

Press the iconto make the picture to run

Step6 When the emergency button is pressed, 701Client will receive the log and display the status on Scada.

Step7 Click “Edit” --> “Pop Up Parameters”

Step8 The Menu “POP IO table” will be displayed, click “Panel File” and replace from “default. pic” to “Restroom Emergency Display.pic”.

  1. Select” Digital IO” as event type.
  2. Input Controller num
  3. Input I/O Address
  4. Select Condition
  5. Click “Add new Event”
  6. The result will be showed in space column. We can follow the steps to do Controller 1 DI0~3, Controller 2 DI4~7
  7. Click “Exit” after finished the setting.

After finish, please make sure to save your setting .

Step9 When any DI status is changed, the picture of Restroom Emergency Display will pop-up to remind the manager .
